UNICEF & The Killers :: Goodnight, Travel Well
One of my favorite bands, The Killers, have collaborated with UNICEF, MTV EXIT (End Exploitation and Trafficking) and the US Agency for International Development, on a new music video that raises awareness about sex trafficking. The video is for the song ‘Goodnight, Travel Well’ from The Killer’s latest album Day & Age and is directed by David Slade.
"We are deeply shocked and appalled that women and children are forced into such exploitative situations,” explained a spokesperson for The Killers. “We hope that through MTV's efforts, and this powerful video, millions of people across the world learn about this tragic form of modern-day slavery."

Here are my two favorite songs from the first album, ‘Writer’s Block’ and ‘Mourning Morning.’
‘I wash two cups and then I remember that you left already…’

Patrick Wolf’s Hard Times Music Video by Ace Norton
Say hello to the bestest music video of 2009 so far (according to Arab Aquarius :). The violins of the song ‘Hard Times’ by Patrick Wolf have been stuck in my head for weeks, and the music video by director Ace Norton only made things better. No room for mediocrity, this is the shit!

Marching to the Wrong Drum
The song ‘Wrong’ by Depeche Mode pretty much sums up how I feel right now. Released a couple months ago, 'Wrong' is the first single off their new album ‘Sounds of the Universe.’ The video was directed by Patrick Daughters and the lyrics were written by band member Martin Gore. I put my favorite part of the lyrics below, enjoy it alongside the music video.
There’s something wrong with me, chemically
Something wrong with me, inherently
The wrong mix, in the wrong genes
I reached the wrong ends, by the wrong means
It was the wrong plan, in the wrong hands
The wrong theory... for the wrong man
The wrong eyes… on the wrong prize
The wrong questions, with the wrong replies
Wrong

Lady Gaga has released the music video for the song ‘Paparazzi’, the third single off her album ‘Fame’. It’s very cinematic and over the top, so I love it of course :) It is directed by the acclaimed Jonas Åkerlund. Jonas previously did creative videos for Madonna (‘Ray of Light,’ ‘Music,’ ‘I’m Going To Tell You a Secret’ film, ‘The Confessions Tour’ DVD), U2 (Beautiful Day), Smashing Pumpkins (‘The Everlasting Gaze’, ‘Try, Try Try’), Prodigy (Smack My Bitch Up) and numerous videos for Roxette.
