The Honorable Daphne Guinness by Steven Klein

Wow. I haven't been so floored and fascinated by a fashion shoot for quite some time.

The brilliant Steven Klein shot this extraordinary editorial titled "The Honorable Guinness", in the "Future Couture" supplement of the latest issue of Vogue Italia.

The editorial features Daphne Guinness, the socialite and heiress of the Guinness family, in futuristic fashion (styled by Patty Wilson) and dramatic art direction. And let me tell you, she ain't no paris hilton. Miss Guiness held her own as the best of them.

A lot of people are raving about this shoot right now, but I really don't see it. Yeah...cool clothes, cool props, cool concept. I don't like her in it. Anyone can stand there with no expression and their arms hanging at the side. I thought the mannequin had more going than she did.

Love this concept. Patty Wilson is amazing!! Who did the art direction for this shoot?

I am not sure who the art director was. Most likely it's Steven Klein himself.

I know over the years, he has worked with various creatives like Alex W.( also a stylist), Cassius Verus, and Vincent M. If the editorial doesn't say who did direction, usually it was a joint effort between the fashion director, stylist, and photographer. Hope that helps. ; )
