Christoph Martin Schmid Says Scream!!

We all want to scream out loud sometimes.  Scream at the idiot who took two parking spots with his car, at the dog humping our pillow while we’re locked out of the room, or at the annoying kids during a traffic jam. The list goes on and on. Photographer Christoph Martin Schmid uses this concept in his series ‘Scream!!’

Over the years, Tony Duran has taken some great pictures of Jennifer Lopez. Here is a selection of their collaborations. Duran manages to produce some of the best images of Jennifer Lopez, in my opinion.

Lady Gaga Paparazzi Music Video

Lady Gaga has released the music video for the song ‘Paparazzi’, the third single off her album ‘Fame’. It’s very cinematic and over the top, so I love it of course :) It is directed by the acclaimed Jonas Åkerlund. Jonas previously did creative videos for Madonna (‘Ray of Light,’ ‘Music,’ ‘I’m Going To Tell You a Secret’ film, ‘The Confessions Tour’ DVD), U2 (Beautiful Day), Smashing Pumpkins (‘The Everlasting Gaze’, ‘Try, Try Try’), Prodigy (Smack My Bitch Up) and numerous videos for Roxette.

And here's her previous music video for Lovegame

Robyn & Royksopp: The Girl & The Robot (Version 2)

Robyn and Royksopp have released a second music video for their excellent song 'The Girl and the Robot'.  While the first video (see here) was inspired by and used footage from the iconic black and white film Metropolis, this one is all about the future. Love them both.

It’s never too late to break free

Pretty powerful and witty campaign by Australian ‘Adults Surviving Child Abuse’ organization. The ads show that some wounds never heal, and it’s never too late to seek help if you were abused as a kid. While we can’t take back what happened and change the past, we can help change the future. If you were abused as a child, please seek help. Also make sure to support your local organization that helps these victims.

Jonah Hill Spoofs The Hills in Harper’s Bazaar

This photo shoot in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar positively made my day. Comedy actor Jonah Hill spoofs the inherently silly and absurd MTV reality show ‘The Hills.’ My favorite shot is the watermelons (see original inspiration below). Jonah Hill & Riley Keough were photographed by Ben Watts.

And here is the infamous melons paparazzi shot of Heidi Montag & Spencer Pratt.

What If You Were Not an Actor?

I love this special photography project by Greg Williams which shows what careers some of the Hollywood stars would like to have if they were not actors. We have the typical school teacher (Kyra Sedgwick), drummer in a band (Jeremy Piven) and the (fittingly) rather weird goddess of the one eyed? (Sarah Silverman).

Freemasons & Sophie Ellis-Bextor Mend Our Heartbreak

I’ve always liked the music of Sophie Ellis-Bextor, so when you add in someone like Freemasons into the mix, I knew I’m gonna freaking love it. The collaboration Heartbreak (Make Me A Dancer) delivers on the hype. It also has a nifty music video to go along with it. Enjoy.

Better Than Rihanna Leaked Photos

The world has turned upside down about the scandalous Rihanna pictures that allegedly show her fully exposed. But I think these photos of Rihanna’s recent red carpet fashion choices are far more interesting than the leaked naked pictures. It’s like fashion porn if you will.

First up, we have Rihanna in a futuristic metallic Louis Vuitton top with extra puffy shoulders. She wore it to the 3rd Annual DKMS Gala benefit in NYC. And as if the outfit wasn’t bold enough, she added a dramatic Noir ring that looks ready to do some serious damage.

Next, we have Rihanna in a puffy Dolce & Gabbana tux that she wore to the “Model as Muse: Embodying Fashion” Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC. No deadly rings, but those shoulders are formidable enough to make anyone think twice before attacking Rihanna.

Let’s have another look at these two outfits with a bit of Miss. Kylie Minogue thrown in for good measure, shall we? Now, aren’t these pictures much more fun than those leaked naked Rihanna photos?

Music :: Two Free New Albums!!!

I love music. And I love it more when it’s legally free. Here I bring you news of two new albums that are totally free. Yes, albums I say, not songs.

First off, we have a new album by the band “We Are Smug”. Understandably you may have never heard of it, because its a secret side project by Darren Hays, who I am sure you heard of.

Here’s what Darren said on his myspace, “I've been recording a secret side project album with my long term co-writer and collaborator Robert Conley over the past 2 years.  It was finished and mixed in December last year and just last week the album
was mastered. It's a band we call 'We Are Smug'.  Robert and I share lead vocal and
songwriting duties on everything, and up until this second, we haven't spoken a word of it to anyone outside of our circle of friends. But today, on my birthday, we've decided it's release day and if you visit www.wearesmug.com
you can download it for free.”

Second, we have a free remix album by Lily Allen. “Remixed” is a remix of her latest album “It’s Not Me, it’s You” with 12 songs. Download it free at www.lilyallenremixed.com

Ray-Ban continue their adventurous advertising with Never Hide Films with this fun spot. We've seen them deliver a dude from inside a cow, and have disco ballers invade the streets . Now they have a big yarn ball running across San Fransisco with a guy inside it. Fun times. See all the previously featured Ray-Ban ads here.
